Two of the items produced by the Craft Group for its Christmas Sale
Jo Aldridge tells us about the Craft Group Christmas Sale and the plans the Group has for 2018.
The St. Pius Craft Group meets weekly during term time. We are a group of five parishioners, and we are always ready to welcome new members.
We held a sale of Christmas items, including sewn and baked goods, in the hall after Mass on Sunday 26th November. We made a lot of the items by recycling material. Other items for sale were donated by either us or other parishioners who thought they could be sold. We have been preparing the Christmas items since September.
As a result of the sale we were able to contribute £100 to Number Five Shelter for the homeless.
We have items left over and intend putting them out on a table in the Narthex after 9.30 Mass this Sunday, 3rd December.
After Christmas we will return to our meetings on Tuesday 9th January 2018, when we will start our project of making knitted and sewn muffs for patients with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. We will also be preparing for our next sale at Easter.
