The current Parish Newsletter has a story from CAFOD on the front page - it's a heartbreaking account of a Ugandan mother whose baby died as result of drinking contaminated river water.

Thanks to Frances Allen for bringing Pope Francis' campaign to our attention. It is good to see that St. Peter's School will be using their annual school walk on Friday 29th June - the feast of Sts. Peter & Paul - to support the campaign.
The Times recently broke a news story about alleged serious misconduct in 2011 in relation to Oxfam's operations in Haiti: it has been referred to as the 'Oxfam scandal'.
Whilst some of us might own up to making rather marginal sacrifices before offering our Fast Day contributions, The Universe is due to publish an account of the altogether more committed endeavours of two business partners who raised around £17,000 for CAFOD and other charities.
What makes this of particular interest is that one of them is parishioner Nick Combes. There is a sneak preview below...
